VN06: Discover the North of Vietnam in 8 days

Day 1:     Hanoi

Arrive at Noi Bai Airport. Drive by the fertile Red River Delta to reach the hotel in Hanoi city.

Day 2:     Hanoi - Lao Cai

Visit Ho Chi Minh's Quarter: Mausoleum, House-on-stilts, Museum named after him and the One-pillar pagoda locating in the area - one of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam built in the 11th century. Visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) - the first university in Vietnam. Vie wthe Gothic style of Central Catholic Church and Hanoi Opera under shadow trees.
Hob on a cyclo to petrol round the exciting Old Quarter of Hanoi and Hoan Kiem Lake - the Heart of the city. In the evening, enjoy a Water Puppet show - a vietnamese traditional art.
Transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for Tulico or Ratraco Train to Lao Cai. Overnight on board in private Superior Department (air-conditioned, soft berth, 2 person / cabin).

Day 3:     Lao Cai - Sapa

Arrive in Lao Cai. Drive to Sapa, the best resort northern Vietnam with cool climate all year round. Visit Silver Waterfall and Caumay bridge ond the swirling water. Trekking to visit the highest mountain in Vietnam, Phanxipang. In the afternoon, visit Ta Phin, Cat cat villages of H'Mong and Dao people by another trekking.

Day 4:      Sapa - Coc Ly - Lao Cai - Hanoi

Visit the market along Chay Coc Ly river. Boat tour to Tien cave and to the ethnic village Tay. Drive to Lao Cai Railway Station for the train to Hanoi.
Overnight on board in private Superior Department (air-conditioned, soft berth, 2 person/cabin)

Day 5:     Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Halong

Drive to Ninh Binh to visit the Red River Delta.
In the afternoon, visit the World's Wonder: Halong Bay. Here you can have a seabath on Bai Chay beach.

Day 6:     Halong Bay - Cat Ba

Boat tour to different islands and caves in Halong Bay and indulge in the immensity of the vast blue sea dotted by floating houses of the fisherman and small islets. Lunch with fresh seafood on board. Continue sailing to Cat Ba Island, the biggest and also the most beautiful island of Hai Phong. Overnight on Cat Bat Island.

Day 7:     Cat Ba - Hai Phong - Ha Noi

Visit Cat Co Beach,  Trung Trang Cave, Cat Ba National park. In the afternoon, get on a public hydrofoil to Hai Phong, the biggest sea port northern Vietnam with its dominant French style buildings. Visit famous Du Hang Pagoda and Trang Kenh carpet enterprise. Drive back to Hanoi after a stop in Hai Duong to see an handicraft enterprise selling goods made by handicapped people.

Day 8:     Ha Noi
