A great combination between Vietnam with all its fascinating sites and Combodia with its world-wide known Angkor Wat (16 days)


Day 1:  Hanoi - Arrival

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport. Drive through the fertile Red River Delta to reach the hotel in Hanoi city. The afternoon is free at leisure.

 

Day 2:  Hanoi

Visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, House-on-stilts, Museum called by his name and One-pillar pagoda locating in the area - one of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam built in the 11th century. Visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) - the first university in Vietnam. View the Gothic style of Central Catholic Church and Hanoi Opera under shadow trees.
Hob on a cyclo to petrol round the exciting Old Quarter of Hanoi and Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart of the city. Enjoy the Water Puppet show - a vietnamese traditional art in the evening

 

Day 3:  Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Halong

Drive southward to Ninh Binh Town to visit unspoiled villages and immense rice fields in the center of the Red River Delta. Visit Bich Dong Temple and relics of Hoa Luc ancient Kingdom (Dinh Dynasty in the 10th century)*. Get on a small boat to row along the small canal in the rice field to visit Tam Coc caves considered as "Halong Bay on land".
In the afternoon, drive to Halong city to visit one of the World's Wonders: Halong Bay. Enjoy the sunset at Bay Chay Beach at the end of the day.

 

Day 4:     Halong - Cat Ba

A boat cruise on a lovely and comfortable boat in the most beautiful part of Halong Bay. Visit beautiful islands and caves on Halong Bay and indulge in the immensity of the vast blue sea dotted by floating houses of the fisherman and small islets. Lunch with fresh seafood on boat. Continue sailing to Cat Ba Island, the biggest and the most beautiful island of Hai Phong.

 

Day 5:     Cat Ba - Hai Phong - Hanoi

Visit Cat Co beach, Trung Trang cave, Cat Ba National Park.
In the afternoon, get on a public hydrofoil to Hai Phong, the biggest sea port in the North of Vietnam with its dominant French style buildings. Visit famous Du Hang pagoda and Trang Kenh carpet enterprise. Drive back to Hanoi with a stop in Hai Duong to see a handicraft enterprise selling goods made by handicapped people.

 

Day 6:     Hanoi - Hue

Take the morning flight to Hue and spend the whole day to visite one of the World's Heritage in Hue City - the former Kingdom of the 143 year Nguyen Dynasty. Boat trip on the Perfume River to visit a village along the river bank producing bronze-casting goods or conical hat. Continue by boat to visit Royal Thien Mu Pagoda and Minh Mang Kinh's Mausoleum.
In the afternoon, visit Imperial Citadel - the most important part of Hue city and Dong Da market.
Enjoy a special program on the Perfume river with Hue's folk songs in the evening.


Day 7:     Hue - Danang - Hoi An

Visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh King's Mausoleum.
Drive to Hoi An in the afternoon via the imposing Hai Van mountain pass, a part of Truong Son mountain range running down to the sea to cut in the high way. Stopover at the Marble mountain, Non Nuoc beach in Danang city.My Son

 

Day 8:     Hoi An - My Son - Danang

Visit Hoi An ancient town - another World's Heritage site of a forgotten sea port from the 17th century. Visit a Chinese temple, Japanese bridge and an ancient house of mixing style from Vietnam, China and Japan (Here you can buy some small ancient ceramic gifts as souvenir here with surprising price.)
In the afternoon, visit another World Heritage in the Southwest of Danang, My Son Hollyland - the religious center of powerful Cahmpa Kingdom from 6th to the 16th century, with relics of temples, steles and carving statues showing a thriving life of people here at once.

 

Day 9:     Da Nang-Hochiminh City

Visit Cham Museum, the best collection for the history and culture of former Champa Kingdom. Fly to animated Hochiminh City. Pick up to hotel
Visit the most typical places in the city: Notre Dame Cathedral, Central post office, the City Hall, Reunification Palace, War Museum, China town, Thien Hau Temple. Visit Tay Son Lacquerware enterprise to see the artists producing their masterpieces. Night in HCMC

 

Day 10:     Hochiminh City-Cu Chi-Tay Ninh

Drive to Tay Ninh province-100 km to the North West of  HCMC to visit Holly Temple of The Cao Dai religion- An extraordinary religion in the South Vietnam.
Visit Cuchi Underground Tunnel- a famous battle field in Vietnam War closed to Saigon City (HCMC). Night in HCMC.

 

Day11:     Hochiminh City- Vinh Long-Can Tho

Drive to the South of HCMC to get to Vinh Long- one of 12 fertile provinces of The Mekong Delta.Boat trip on great Mekong river to visit orchards and farmer 's house at An Binh island locating on the immense river.
Continue to Can Tho city, visit Khmer pagoda and Bang Lang Stork gardens in late afternoon when th birds come back to their nets. Night in Can Tho city.

 

Day 12:     Can Tho-Hochiminh City

Visit authentic Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets in Can Tho's outskirt. Then drive to Hochiminh City. On the way stop to visit Rose Garden in Sa Dec.Overnight in HCMC.

 

Day 13:     HCMC-Long Hai

Drive to Long Hai, a nice beach 140 km from Hochiminh City. Sea bathing and relax. In the Mid-afternoon drive back to Hochiminh City for overnight.

 

Day 14:     Hochiminh City-Siem Reap

Transfer to Tan Son Nhat International airport for flight to Siem Reap. After check in in your hotel, afterwards start the tour.
Visit the complex of Angkor Thom, including the sites Bayon, Elephants and Lépreux King Terrace,Tep Pranam, Prah Palilay, Phimeanakas, Baphuon. Drive to Bakheng mountain to admire the stunning sunset behind the temples of Angkor Wat. Dinner with Apsara dance show. Overnight in Siem Reap.Angkor Wat

 

Day 15:     Siem Reap-Angkor Wat

Visit the " Great Circuit": Pre Rup, Mebon,tasom,Neak Pean, Prah Khan. In the afternoon visit the Angkor Wat temple. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day16:     Siem Reap-Germany

Check out and fly back to Germany.
