A Unique trip throughout Vietnam from the north to the south (15 days)


Day 1:     Hanoi - Arrival

Arriving at Noi Bai International Airport of Hanoi Capital. Drive through the fertile Red River Delta to reach your hotel in Hanoi city.One-Pillar pagoda
Free at leisure in the afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.

 

Day 2:     Hanoi

Visit Ho Chi Minh's Quarter including the Mausoleum, House-on-stilts, Museum called by his name and One-pillar pagoda located in the area - one of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam built in the 11th century.
Visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) - the first university in Vietnam. View the Gothic stlye of Central Catholic Church and Hanoi Opera under shadow trees. The image of new and old buildings interposing with high shadow trees is a feature easiest to recognize in Hanoi and in many cities of Vietnam.
Hob on a cyclo to petrol round the exciting Old Quarter of Hanoi and Hoan Kiem Lake - the heart of the city.
Enjoy Water Puppet Show - Vietnamese traditional art evening.

 

Day 3:     Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Halong Bay

Halong BayDrive southward to Ninh Binh town to visit unspoiled villages, immense rice fields in the center of the Red River Delta.
Visit Bich Dong Tempke and relics of Hoa Lu ancient Kingdom (Dinh dynasty in the 10th century). Get on a small boat to row along the small canal in the rice field to visit Tam Coc Caves considered as "Halong Bay on land".
In the afternoon, drive to Halong city to visit one of Wonder of the world: Halong Bay. Enjoy sunset at Bai Chay Beach at the end of the day.

 

Day 4:     Halong - Cat Ba

A lovely and comfortable boat cruise in the most beautiful part of Halong Bay. Visit beautiful islands and caves on Halong Bay and indulge in the immensity of the vast blue sea dotted by floating house of the fisherman and small islets. Linch with fresh seafood on boat. Continue sailing to Cat Ba islandm the biggest and the most beautiful island of Hai Phong.

 

Day 5:     Cat Ba - Hai Phong - Hanoi

Visit Cat Co beach, Trung Trang cave, Cat Ba National Park.
In the afternoon, get on a public hydrofoil to Hai Phong, the biggest sea port in the North of Vietnam with its dominant French style buildings. Visit famous Du Hang Pagoda and Trang Kenh carpet enterprise. Drive back to Hanoiafter a stop at Ha Duong to see an handicraft enterprise selling goods made by hadicapped people.

 

Day 6:     Hanoi  - Hue

Take morning flgith from Hanoi to Hue. Spend the whole day to visit one of World's Heritage in Hue city - the former Kingdom of the 143 year Nguyen Dynasty. Boat trip on the Perfume River to visite a village along the river bank procuxing bronze-casting goods or conical hat. By boat visit Royal Thien Mu pagoda and Minh Mang King's Mausoleum.
In the afternoon, visit Imperial Citadel - the most important part of Hue city and Dong Ba market.
Enjoy Hue's folk songs in the evening on a boat along Perfume River.

 

Day 7 :     Hue - Danang - Hoi An

Visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh King's Mausoleum in the morning.
Then drive to Hoi An via the imposing Hai Van mountain pass, a part of Truong Son mountain range running down to the sea to cut in the high way. Stopever at Marble mountain and Non Nuoc Beach in Danang City.

 

Day 8:     Hoi An - My Son - Hoi An

Visit Hoi An ancient town - another World's Heritage site of a forgotten sea port from the 17th century. Visit the Chinese temple , Japanese bridge, Andan ancient house of mixing style from Vietnam, China and Japan. (Here you can buy some small ancient ceramic giflts as souvenir here with surprising price.)
In the afternoon, visit another World's Heritage site in the South West of Danang, My Son Hollyland - the religious center of Powerful Champa Kingdom from 6th to 16th century, with relics of temples, steles and carving statues showing a thiriving life of people here at once. Drive back to Danang in the evening.

 

Day 9:    Danang - Saigon

Flight to Saigon at noon.
In the afternoon, free at leisure.

 

Day 10:     Saigon

Visit the most popular places in HCMC: Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, the City Hall, Reunification Palace, War Museum...

 

Day 11:     Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi

Visit the unbelievable Cu Chi Tunnel System on the most famous battle field in Vietnam war and the country side north-western HCMC.

 

Day 12:     Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta

Drive  to My Tho and Vinh Long. Boat tour through the small branches of the Mekong River to the floating market to know how local people have been living with the water. Visit some orchards and farmer's house and then return to HCMC.Mui Ne

 

Day 13 & 14:     Ho Chi Minh City - Mui Ne / Phan Thiet

Drive to Mui Ne, one of the most beautiful beaches all over Vietnam, about 200 km away from HCMC.

 

Day 15:     Mui Ne / Phan Thiet - HCMC

Drive to back to Saigon and from there flight back to Germany.
